Fashion Week Hair and Make-up Tips for Valentines

Just in time for Valentine's Day I have some hair tips straight from NYFW, courtesy of GlamSquad. Plus some insider makeup advice from your favorite neighborhood makeup artist... me! I hope you're easily able to re-create these tips at home.

I would start with switching up some of your products, and splurge a little on the good stuff. Charlotte Tilbury is definitely the red carpet authority so far in the makeup dept, so, I would check out a couple of her products. I also recommend using a primer on your eyes under your shadow, if you're not already doing this... it's a GAME CHANGER! Lastly, I love Lorac shadows, if you haven't gotten your hands on any of the Mega Pro's, do yourself a favor and pick up one. I swear you'll thank me later.

MUA Tips for a Perfect Glowing Red Carpet Complexion

·       Prime the Skin with a light pore filler in areas where you need, my favorite is the Clarins SOS blurring Primer.
·       Next, apply a long-wearing foundation with the coverage of your choosing. I personally like a medium buildable coverage. Clinique's Beyond Perfecting Foundation looks best on everyone.
·       Finish your Face with a light highlighting concealer under the eyes and around nose for redness coverage (if needed). I also like to Highlight the cheekbones with Bobbi Browns shimmer bricks for the perfect glow. Contour the cheekbones with a MAC 135 Brush and Too Faced Chocolate Soliel Bronzer.
·        Apply Blush at the roundest part of the apples of your cheeks bringing it up toward the temples. This lifts the Face for the perfect flush and glow.

·         Prep the roots with Ouai Dry Shampoo Foam and massage throughout scalp
·         Blowout the hairline with a small round brush to smooth out any frizz
·         Next, apply Shu Uemura Cotton Uzu Defining Flexible Cream and comb throughout from roots to ends, pulling to create a tight mid-centered ponytail
·         Pinch and pull the roots at the crown of the head to create natural texture
·         Apply Ouai Hair Oil directly on the ponytail and twist to create a knot, leaving the mid-shaft ends out
·         Spray Kerastase Laque Noire to finish and hold the style in place
