Just last week I was looking in my closet and was trying to think of the perfect outdoors fall outfit to wear. After thinking about so many options and trying even more on, I came up with the look that I will be wearing over and over again whenever I have something planned that requires being comfortable and warm, but still super stylish.
Below I have my look, as well as five tips on dressing for any outdoors activity you have planned:
1. Start with a Jacket. I have a variety of jackets in my wardrobe because they instantly can change the look and feel of an outfit, while keeping you warm. A leather jacket is always a great option in the fall, as it is not too heavy, but not too light. So, invest in one that is either a neutral or in a fall color, such as burgundy or wine.
2. Layer Up. It is all about layering when you are going to be out for the day. The weather goes from cold to hot and the other way around within just a few hours. Be sure to wear a few layers to keep yourself comfortable.
3. Go with Jeans. Jeans work so well when outdoors, since they are a tough fabric, but still make you look put together. I opted for a black pair with distressed detailing, so dirt wouldn't show.
4. Choose Shoes You can Walk All Day in. This is such an important tip because when you plan on walking around for hours upon hours, do not wear a brand new pair of shoes that are not broken in yet and definitely do not wear anything that is super tall. Go for a rugged boot, sneaker or even a cool loafer.
