The Halfstack team caught some backstage action and enjoyed a weekend featuring old school house, freestyle and a ton of Latino music!
Halfstackers: Jennie Velasco, Jen Lezan and Dwight Bejec. recently hit up this three day festival that features the best of Cuba’s rich, colorful and lively culture in one fun-filled weekend right here in Chicago. We wanted to share a behind the scenes recap of the Fest. A big shout out to Cesar Rolon of Imagen Consulting for showing us around the event VIP style. Nestled in the beautiful Riis Park, the event offered 3 days of Grammy Award winning Artist on 2 stages. It was a fun filled weekend with good food from vendors like 90s Miles to Cuba café as well as family friendly events. There were over 150 food and merchandise vendors, a carnival, petting zoo, and so much amazing music. Day one featured the best of old school house and freestyle music featuring singers like Stevie B, Cynthia, Sweet Sensation and Charlie Baby as well as Chicago iconic DJs like Tim Spinning Shomer and Julian Jumping Perez - while the rest of the weekend focused on latin music including Salsa and Merengue and Artists like Victor Manuelle.
