NYFW Recap: Heart & Noble Written by: Alexa Pignatelli
Jewelry is taking a turn this season through the refreshing, inventive designs of Heart & Noble. New York based designer, Cri Gabriele, has created a new image for jewelry in the world of accessories through her chic brand. Her recent showing of her three latest collections, Cable Tie, CROMA, and Fanatic all bring a new element to the table and expand what one would think of as jewelry.
This new element: printing. Although her Cable Tie collection
is more traditional and handmade, the pieces have a techno yet elegant element
to their designs that compliments the 3D printed designs of her CROMA and Fanatic
collections. CROMA, made by laser printing, has a bold aesthetic shown through
metallic circles and ovals shaped together to create unique shapes for
bracelets, necklaces, and more. The Fanatic collection, made by 3D printing,
uses bright colors alongside solid white and black designs made from different
manufactured fibers such as acrylic and nylon.
Cri Gabriele is a mastermind in the design department as
well as an inspiration when speaking to her. She finds inspiration for her
designs straight from industrial design off the street with appreciation in
function. When asked, Gabriele stated that she wants to “embody the
significance in the form of function” through her jewelry designs. Through
these innovative designs, Gabriele wanted to express that jewelry is just as
significant as clothing itself and make it the main show.

So what’s next for this innovative designer? Gabriele says
that she has many other projects she is interested in starting. From clothing
to lifestyle and maybe even furniture design, this is just the beginning for
Heart & Noble.
