This morning (February 16th)
Vera Wang lit up the runway with her stunning collection. As always, you can expect nothing but greatness from this designer. From nude dresses with metallic embellishments, to fur matched with more fur, to transparent and textured dresses, Wang went in with a bang. Originality was apparent yet she stuck with the common theme of earthy tones as well as clean black. Contrary to a lot of couture fashion, you will find pieces of this collection you can imagine yourself wearing!

Vivienne Tam was showcased on the 15th and started off with an electrifying deep blue and pink metallic dress while ending with a more comfy look, keeping the pink and blue yet as a sweater and skirt. Throughout the show, there was a lot of beautiful patterns utilized as well as a revolutionized take on color blocking. One of my absolute favorites is the white dress with a high neckline and oh-so-textured fabric Once you see the pops of purple, gold and silver interlock, don't worry
—you won't be judged if you are caught drooling.

The jaw dropping designs of
Reem Acra were caught under the spotlight yesterday as well. Watching the show, I felt like I took a plunge into the Renaissance. The undeniable architecture of these pieces are truly innovative. A refreshingly vintage style with overpowering edge.

On the other hand, we have
Jeremy Scott that brought Barbie to life! A colorful, flamboyant blast from the past hit us all as the 80's styles sweeping the runway. One by one, models poured out in bright pinks, blues, funky prints, short skirts, fishnets, bedazzled fabric, great boots, metallic pants, pink lipstick and teased hair. If you grew up thinking your Barbies might, one day, come to life...here ya go!
What does all this mean? Fast fashion is on its way! Dedicate some time out of your day to stream live runway shows to prepare yourself for upcoming styles that are actually affordable. Wanting to watch NYFW live? Check it out here.
