Alvin and the Chipmunks (the Musical) Come to Rosemont Theatre

Who doesn't remember the iconic high pitched crooners dubbed the Chipmunks? Originally connected in the late 50s as an animated singing group, the music of Alvin and the Chipmunks has reincarnated multiple times over the years. During the1980s and 90s, I can recall watching the cartoons as a child and enjoying the albums every Christmas.

As a mother, I now get to enjoy the old school tunes along with a modern day twist as the Chipmunks have definitely made a comeback both in film and on television. More recently, though, they are hitting the stage and coming to life in Alvin and the Chipmunks the Musical. After the successful kick-off of its North American tour, Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products and Iconic Entertainment Studios brings “ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS: THE MUSICAL,” a brand new, music-filled interactive live show, to the Rosemont Theatre for four performances on November 20 and 21.

The world’s most famous chipmunk trio – accompanied by the Chipettes – will delight fans of all ages with a spectacular production boasting incredible music, special effects and immersive interaction allowing all audience members to participate throughout! Based on the characters from the hit Twentieth Century Fox movies, the show brings to life the music and excitement of a live rock concert as the Chipmunks perform hits by One Direction, Maroon 5, Carly Rae Jepsen, Elvis Presley and more. A brand new original song, “Are You Ready for Chipmunks?,” is also included in the high-energy performance and is available to listen to at People.com.

Performances are Friday, November 20 at 2 p.m. and Saturday, November 21 at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Tickets ($25 – $75) are on sale now and available at ticketmaster.com, or by calling (866) 448-7849.
