This is Jen Lezan, welcome back to all of you who have subscribed to the series and for those of you who are new here - I am the Editor in Chief of a Chicago based digital magazine called Halfstack Magazine and I am also one of the hosts of our podcast: Halfstack Highlights. This weeks episode is a fun one! For those of you who haven’t tuned in or who might be living under a rock or perhaps don’t understand my geek chic tendencies, The Magicians is a cable show that premiered on the SyFy Network in 2016. The series is based on Lev Grossman's best-selling books, The Magicians. The storyline centers around Brakebills University, a secret institution specializing in magic. There, amidst an unorthodox education of spellcasting, a group of twenty-something friends soon discover that a magical fantasy world they read about as children is all too real— and poses grave danger to humanity. Brittany’s character Fen was raised in Fillory with the knowledge that she would one day marry an earth-child high king.

In this episode Brittany and I talked about her acting journey, what it was like trying out and prepping for her role on The Magicians . We also get into the juicy stuff about Season 3 of The Magicians and she offers some insights to all the drama that went down in the show and what she thinks might be coming up for Season 4. We also touch on the journey of pursuing a career in acting. She sheds some light on the highs and lows as well as the realities that people aren’t always exposed to. Brittany’s beautiful energy and humble and spirit truly shine through in this episode. She’s so open and even shares some advice for those of you who are interested in or who already are pursuing a career in acting. Click play below for the full interview.
