Battling Binge Eating Disorder #edwarrior

Binge Eating Disorder is real, and it's something that I've struggled with my whole life. Recently, I've sought out treatment and decided that it was time to take my life back. Re-learning how to eat, and what is healthy is strange as a 35 year old woman. When people ask me what I've been doing to lose weight I tell them about my new gym, my eating habits, and my treatment for B.E.D. That's the only truth that I can tell you, there is no magic pill... there is no magic diet.... there really is nothing else that works.  Change your eating habits, don't go on a diet, change your life!

Eat healthier, move more, and challenge yourself to become stronger mentally and physically. If eating healthy is super hard for you, then I have some suggestions below. I also have a couple videos for you to watch, and if you think you're struggling with B.E.D there is help out there for you! I've found the NEDA website to be super helpful. If you (or your loved one) is struggling with an eating disorder they have a lot of resources for you. They also have areas of the site for family and friends to find ways to help, which is amazing.

My Weight loss Story with BED:

Learning how to eat all over again is super challenging. I was so grateful to have met Dana with Body Fuel by Dana. She is a personal chef who teaches you how to meal prep, and cooks well balanced nutritional meals for you.

All of her creations are full of super-foods that help your body achieve max nutrition. Her plans will give you the fuel to get you through just about anything. I feel like I'm able to take on the day knowing that I have the tools I need to succeed. Starting the day off with bad nutrition, or a bad game plan meals failure for someone like me. I need structure and a game plan to survive the battle of the binge. Having some of her pre-cooked meals in my fridge makes it so much easier to make better choices.

It's also been helpful to replace bad snacks with good snacks. I slowly started to switch out things I liked to eat with healthier versions of them. For example I love cookie dough, which is not super healthy... obviously. So, Dana made me some cookie dough bites that are totally healthy and actually good for me to eat! I can't wait to share her healthy recipes with you guys, and her tips and tricks. We have a super cool vlog coming up in the next week or so of us going to the grocery store and cooking up a storm. <3

Getting to the Gym:

Welcome to Ultifit the place that changed my life forever. I kept waiting and waiting to workout. I thought I had to get the eating under control before I could get to the gym, when in reality, the eating was never going to be under control for me. Although, taking the medication for BED was helping, going to the gym catapulted me into a better life. The medications are only a band-aid and temporary, I still have to do my part to make better decisions everyday, and change my life. Starting at the right gym changed everything for me.

Brian Redard created some amazing workouts for me to try to test my abilities and endurance as a person. He never looked at me and thought "She can't do that," he looked at me like a person with a goal, and ambitions. He tested me, challenged me, and is slowly molding me into the warrior that I am, the warrior that I was meant to be.

Change your Life:

Change how you do things, who you hang out with, what you do with your time. Make different choices, this is not just a diet... these are life choices that you have to think about everyday. Before I put anything into my mouth I slowly think to myself, "is this going to fuel my body, do I need it, and is this going to be good for me?" I know how difficult it can be to make the right decisions, but if you slowly start to substitute things in your life it will help. Before you know it, you'll be eating healthy, and on the road to a better life.
