PH5 Puts Art Back in Fashion

PH5 F/W

In, 2014 a star was born. With so much conversation surrounding women in STEM, PH5 restores art and science to fashion. Established in New York, PH5 is an advanced contemporary women's knitwear brand founded by Wei Lin, the daughter of a large knitwear manufacturer, and created by a Parsons-trained, Kering award-winning designer, Mijia Zhang.

The collection embodied the strength of feminity. Structural silhouettes met their yang through feminity found in their textiles. Samsung 837 was fitting for this conceptual line to showcase their autumn duds. The grand modern staircase brought the clean lines to the forefront.

Lin manages to deliver wearable designs that were still innovative and classic. She also challenges the conventional standards of knitwear by incorporating whimsical knitting techniques. This exciting designer uses engineers and computer programmers to bring these designs to life. Fast fashion is quivering in their boots and Zara is, of course, taking notes.
