Esabitchin'

Nothing like a Fashion and Art Exhibition to get into the swing of NYFW.  Esabitchin' showcased the looks of sustainable and eco-friendly designers.  The designers showcased included AMA NWOKE, A. Bernadette, cape_custums, Rosina~Mae, Spratter and Jayne, zero waste daniel.

"Disco"

Since this show was exhibition style it gave me the chance to speak with designer Rose of Rosina~Mae to talk about her SS 2018 swimwear collection. Rose was inspired by make up trends of the late 60's along with powerful phrases used to fight women's oppression during that time, along with the use of color-blocking to exude the essence of 70's Disco's.  Rosina~Mae's "Disco" collection stayed true to her signature "From the beach, to the street, to the party" esthetic.

Phrases used: Strength, Feminist, Power & Change, Love

Two of the Rosina~Mae models, Bonnie May and Luda Olifiruk are long time friends of Rosie. They even travel to New York to be in her show! Fun fact, Bonnie and Luda modeled for Rose before she founded Rosina~Mae. Fun fact, Bonnie and Luda even modeled for Rose while she was still a student at Dominican University over 10 years ago.
