Glossybox and the Beautycon boxes were a little better than Birchbox and Ipsy in my opinion, however, they were so pricey in comparison! Some boxes come on a monthly basis, others can be a subscription based on the seasons, but all in all they have that in common that its usually on a monthly basis. After long periods of testing each box, here is what I've found to be the best bang for your buck.
Not to be a make-up snob, but WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!? Half the things I would find in my Ipsy bag or my Birchbox usually got that response. I am spending $10.00-$39.00 a month to try new beauty products and I get that, but at the same time it would be nice if they were products that I've seen before, or things that I wanted to try.
With the Sephora Play Box, its $10.00 bucks a month, and you get products that Sephora carries. Which means, you actually get products that you could have had your eye on, or some that were on your wishlist of things to try. You get good high-end items that make this worth the money. I also like that it comes with a print out card that tells you everything you need to know about the products. You'll get helpful tips and tricks, how to use them, what to do from start to finish... that in itself is priceless! It's like getting tips from a professional right in your home.
