Mamby On The Beach: A Festival For Everyone

There are so many music festivals that go down in the summertime in Chicago and each one has it's own individual allure.  Spring Awakening is where you can find the EDM lovers, most of who are young enough to be my children. There's Pitchfork for the free-spirited hippie who loves to crowd surf as a form of meditation.  Lolla is the "what's trending now" crowd of college bros and girls who all coordinate their outfits and always seem to move in packs.

But Mamby On The Beach is truly a festival for everyone.  When you take two things that almost everybody loves, the beach and live music, it's guaranteed to be a good time!

One of Chicago's newer music festivals, Mamby On The Beach has blown up over the past few years.  This year the festival featured two main stages, a DJ tent, a silent disco, an extreme line-up of food vendors and an array of festival activities, including body painting and hair braiding.

This was my first year attending, so I had no idea what to expect.  My friend Alexa came with me and we had a blast hanging out at the beach all day!  There were so many fun things to do and great music to listen to, but the best performance was Walk The Moon who closed out the festival on Sunday.

Picking a favorite Chicago music festival is almost impossible, but Mamby really is the full package!  Sun, fun and a summer you're sure to never forget.
