Type House Design Exhibition- Jesus Corral

With summer within arms reach, you'll be seeing some unique places to check out on the Halfstack blog.  And the city never falls short of talent to check out; Chicago native Jesus Corral will debut his art of paint on print at the Type House exhibition this weekend.    The collection features his popular photography of Chicago architecture, hand-painted with expert typography.

"This exhibition is a culmination from different pieces of my design world into a single expression," Corral said.  "This is also a new experiment in analog design production, versus the entirely digital approach I have become accustomed to."

The open reception will take place at the Swedish Snus Pop-Up Shop in Lincoln Park, a community-focused pop up that serves as a public gathering space and shared workplace.  The space has been making stops all over the country and will be featuring Chicago artists in its 6 month stay. The event will also feature music by Nick Castle and Eli Saucedo.

Each reception guest will be entered to win one of Corral’s original design pieces titled “Temples,” a breathtaking view from the Hancock 360 Observation deck, valued at $500.
