How to Style a White Vest

Hello everyone! These chilly temps in the Chicagoland area are definitely not what we wish spring would bring. However, you can still dress for the weather, but also for the spring season by incorporating the right pieces into your look. One of these pieces is a white vest. The one I have pictured below is more tailored and can be styled in a variety of ways. Here are some of those styling tips:

1. Toss a white vest over a fitted dress. Those body-con style dresses can be super cute, but also super revealing for a work and/or more conservative environment. However, toss a white vest over your look and you can still show off your figure, while looking polished and sophisticated.

2. Opt for an alternative to a blazer. While the temps are still chilly, they are not as cold as the dead of winter, so try a vest instead of a blazer for an edgier take for your workweek.

3. Pair a white vest with a black ensemble to look on trend. Black and white outfits are a trend that continues to be strong this spring, so opting for a brighter topper, such as a white vest, looks chic.

4. Layer the white vest over spaghetti straps. If you are like me and have a lot of spaghetti strapped blouses, jumpsuits, and dresses, then you know they can be hard to wear out appropriately for the office and other events. Adding the vest over covers up your shoulders, without being too conservative, and allows you to wear all of those spaghetti strap garments.
