
1. Find pieces that are classic shapes, but come in bright colors. For example, the blouse above is a classic button up style, but is in a modern print with bold colors.
2. Bright colors can be used to accent an entire look. For example, use a bold color purse, such as a pink, with an all black outfit.
3. Pair bold colors with one another. Wear a hot pink blouse with a pair of bright orange pants, which compliment, rather than compete with each other because they are within the same tones. You can do this with a variety of combinations including jewel tones, as well.
4. Choose the colors that look best on you or that you like the best. As for myself, I think I look best in cobalt blues, hot pinks, and emerald greens. I dislike yellows and oranges on myself. Also, try on new shades to add to your favorites list, even if they don't seem appealing at first.
