Valentine's Day Styling Tips

Hello everyone! I am sure you are all getting ready for the upcoming holiday, Valentine's Day. Whether you are going out with your significant other or friends, there is one piece that's perfect for any and every event you have planned. That piece is the LRD (Little Red Dress). Red dresses come in a variety of styles, so choose one that works for your body and have fun with choosing accessories to go along with it. Here are some tips for styling a LRD for your Valentine's Day look:

1. Choose a dress that accentuates what you want to show off. For example, a fitted dress shows off your entire silhouette, but should be more so covered up, like the dress above all the way to the left. Also, if you go for short, go for more covered up on top, such as the dresses on the right and in the center, as one has a higher neckline and the other has long sleeves.

2.  Accessorize tastefully by adding the correct pieces based on your garment. If you have a low cut neckline, then you should pick a necklace that comes to a point and/or cascades, instead of a choker necklace. When the neckline is high, bracelets look great in addition to a shorter, chunkier necklace.

3. Pick the right shoes for the event you have planned. You can wear a bootie if you are headed to a more casual venue or go with a strappy, sparkly heel if you are going somewhere fancier.

4. Keep your makeup relatively neutral. A smoky eye in hues like black, brown, taupe, gold, and creams look sexy without competing with the bold color of the dress. Even a cat eye paired with a red lip will work beautifully, just don't make the blush too severe and keep the rest of your face slightly dewy and fresh.
