The alt-pop duo from London, Oh Wonder, played a sold-out show at Lincoln Hall last Thursday. The duo performed an unforgettable first Chicago show, leaving the crowd in awe and wonder.
Josephine and Anthony are the singers and instrumentalists that make up Oh Wonder. Their music, a perfectly balanced blend of indie, pop, and R&B
created an original, electro-ballad sound. Their unique musical style was truly hypnotic.
In addition to their incredible sound, the two have amazing on-stage
chemistry which really transcended the stage. Their chemistry added onto the ethereal and intimate ambiance of the performance, making the audience feel like they were witnessing a special moment between the two singers.
The band itself is relatively new, only having released one self-titled album late last year. The two had their first television appearance on Conan last week. Despite that being so, Josephine and Anthony were naturals on stage.
Chicago's own Zigtebra put on a memorable performance when opening up for Oh Wonder. The half-sibling duo captured the hearts of the audience with their charm, and minimalist indie-pop tunes.
