Ani Serves Up Japanese Cuisine in Lakeview

I have been a lover of Asian style food for as long as I can remember!  I grew up stopping at every Chinese food restaurant on family road trips and making sushi rolls at home.  After moving to Chicago, my love for authentic Japanese, Chinese, Thai and Korean food has only grown stronger!

While most people would make a beeline South to Chinatown to fulfill a craving for delicious Asian food, there is actually an impressive amount of amazing options sprinkled throughout the city!  Ani, a humble restaurant featuring Japanese cuisine, is definitely a gem not to be missed!  With modern lighting and towering, glass windows, it's exterior is a beautiful break from the static buildings lining Lincoln Ave, in Lakeview.

The presentation of the food is just as lovely and it's oh, so delicious!  One of my favorite hobbies lately has been sampling the many different ramen offerings in the city.  Ani's take on this dish is the perfect combination of spice and flavor, topped with fresh bean sprouts.

Tantanmen Ramen w/ pork meatballs, bok choy, butter poached kabocha, bean sprouts, fried garlic and chili spices.

Ani also offers an impressive selection of Maki, Tamaki, Nigiri and Sashimi rolls.  My personal favorite is the Double Ahi roll, with yellowfin tuna, avocado, scallion, spicy tuna, wasabi aioli, and tobiko.

Need a little pick me up during these cold months?  Get cozy with some delicious Japanese cuisine this winter!  Perfect for a special dinner out in the city or a sake tasting with a group of friends, Ani is a unique restaurant that offers an authentic experience.
