Halfstack Highlights: The Way Down Wanderers Performance at Stage 37

 5-piece modern-folk Americana act, The Way Down Wanderers, performed on Thursday afternoon at the Block 37 shopping center, located at 108 N State St.  The Stage 37 concert series started up its new season mid June, featuring a variety of folk and indie bands.  Based in Chicago, The Way Down Wanderers have been touring across the country to states like Colorado, Iowa and Michigan.

Now back in their home state, band members, Austin Thompson (guitar, lead & harmony vocals), Collin Krause (mandolin, fiddle, lead and harmony vocals), Benjamin Montalbano (banjo, lead and harmony vocals), John Merikoski (drums and percussion) and John Williams (upright bass) will continue on to play three more shows in Illinois before heading to Wisconsin.
