Loving Yourself

Growing up I always had insecurity problems. I wanted to have curly luscious hair and perfect skin but instead I had damaged wavy hair and acne.  I always found that I would compare myself to other women. I still feel like I do at times but I've learned that everyone has their flaws. I've learned that flaws are part of who we are as human beings. If we didn't have flaws and imperfections we would be boring, unoriginal creatures. Luckily, everyone has something they wished they could change about themselves and just that brings me peace.

Recently I've been finding myself embracing who I am, whether it's appearance or personality. Flaws and all makes me, me. I've realized that pimples will come during important moments of our lives and a bad haircut is bound to happen once, twice or if you're like me three or four times in our lives. Don't sweat it! The women you see on t.v. with beautiful skin and amazing hair are all photoshopped! No one wakes up with perfect makeup on. We all wake up with bed hair and bad breath so don't stress over your appearance because being insecure over how you look will only tear you down.

If you've ever felt ugly, lonely and worthless stop and remind yourself that those are just merely feelings and not truth. You are not ugly because you are beautifully and wonderfully made. You are not lonely and worthless because there is purpose in you! You were perfectly designed for this time, a time to change your world for the better. Appearance is not everything so stop dwelling on how you look and see how far you've come!

Be positive and remind yourself that you are awesome!
