The Benefits of Yogurt

Yogurt is one of those tasty treats that I don't feel bad eating when I know it has so many benefits. Everyone knows that protein is an essential part of a balanced diet. It is vital to cell growth, building muscle, and repairing tissue. As you you get older, you need more protein to keep your skin healthy and to fight off illness. Protein is obviously found in meat, but I find that sometimes it can be a bit heavy for me. The older I get, the more sensitive my stomach is becoming. A great way to incorporate protein without the meat is Greek yogurt. It's light, but still packs a nutritional punch.  Greek yogurt is made by separating out the liquid whey. This results in a thicker texture with fewer carbohydrates and sugar, and more protein the regular yogurt.

Greek yogurt is packed with probiotics. These are microorganisms such as bacteria and yeast. These little buddies normally live in your intestines, and having good microorganisms in your intestines helps keep you healthy. If you're facing digestive issues, a lack of these good microorganisms may be your problem. It tastes great and keeps you regular, which in turn ensures that you are balanced on the outside and will keep you healthy looking on the outside.

I recently had the chance to try our LALA’s Greek Yogurt Smoothies and Greek Blended Yogurts. These are tasty and are packed with everything you need to turn a good day into an even better one. With real-fruit flavors and convenient to-go packaging, LALA Greek is a healthy choice you can make today that will set you up for an even better tomorrow.

LALA is a great tasting yogurt and has some great flavors that I would go to for post work out meals or quick breakfasts on the go; just throw in some nuts and fruit and its a great and healthy snack. Greek yogurt is rich in the amino acids which make up proteins, and proteins are the building blocks for regenerating muscle tissue and repairing fiber damage, which makes it the perfect post workout meal or way to start the morning.
