The singer-songwriter, Joshua Radin, performed a sold-out show on February 20 at Chicago's Thalia Hall in Pilsen.
Joshua Radin was opened by two very talented singers: Cary Brothers and Andrew Belle. Cary Brothers (who emphasized that he is a soloist, not a group consisted of brothers with the last name Cary) performed an entertaining and energetic set. Cary performed a selection of songs on the acoustic guitar as well as a few on the piano.
Chicago's own Andrew Belle performed after Cary Brothers. As for Andrew Belle, he chose to perform a solo act using a unique approach. He used a soundboard to create loops for his songs then used his keyboard as his main instrument. He performed songs from his newest album titled Black Bear which was released in 2013. He ended with a beautiful rendition of his song "Pieces" from that album.
The last set of the night was for the main artist, Joshua Radin. Joshua Radin's performance was beautiful to say the least. The stage was illuminated with a large moon in the background as well as several candles decorated around the stage. Joshua Radin performed a selection of songs from his newest album "Onward and Sideways" which was released earlier this year.
One of the highlights of the night was when he had three students from a local school come up on stage and perform a song with him. As for the finale, he welcomed back Cary Brothers and Andrew Belle rejoin him on stage to sing a final song to close the concert. Seeing the three singers perform together was amazing and a great way to end an already incredible concert. I can't wait to see them perform again in Chicago!
