ROOF on theWit NYE Black and White Soiree

New Year's Eve is traditionally a night of celebrating with friends,  more sequins than anyone could ever imagine in one room and fountains of champagne.  It's been far too long since I have experienced a New Year's Eve like this, out on the town.  Usually, my friends and I settle on a night in with cheap wine, watching the ball drop an hour earlier in New York.  It's always just so much work to get ready, go out and deal with the ridiculous crowds and traffic.  Am I right?

Well, this year I decided not to act like such an oldie and do New Year's Eve right!  I dressed in a classy contrast for the ROOF on theWit's New Year's Eve Black and White Soiree.  The party started promptly at 9:30pm, 27 floors above the city, the twinkling lights a beautiful backdrop to a glamorous setting.

A bar carved out of ice offered hand-rolled sushi, shrimp, oysters and other fresh seafood selections.  Other decadent culinary displays featured were a selection of gourmet, flat bread pizzas, a taco bar and delicious desserts.

I enjoyed a festive champagne punch while in the company of hundreds of other guests, all there to celebrate the same wonderful promise of a new year.  As the countdown began, we all chanted together, finally erupting in a joyful "Happy New Year!".

TheWit really hosted such a memorable evening.  It was a wonderful way to ring in 2015!   It was definitely worth trading in my sweats and slippers for.  Here's to another year of fabulous events and celebrations on the ROOF!
