Think of the most beautiful Pinterest wedding board you can
possibly imagine. Throw in a hipster
bartender, an awesome DJ, and a popcorn bar (yes, a popcorn bar), and you’ve
got The Thawe.

Hosted by event and wedding coordination company, The Eventful Life, The Thawe took place at 1st Ward Events, 2033 W North Ave., on March 20th in celebration of the first day of spring. Sponsored by the website design company, Squarespace, the event also marked The Eventful Life’s one year anniversary.
The founders and owners of The Eventful Life, Stephanie
Schertz and Jess Syburg, said they couldn’t have been happier with the turn
out. “We were truly amazed by the response to The Thawe,”
said Syburg. “People and companies alike were quite
compelled by the event”.
More
than 110 guests enjoyed an evening of wedding bliss with delightful activities,
food, drinks and dancing. The Caterist created botanical inspired appetizers, while complimentary beer from Revolution Brewing and cocktails by The Bedford were served. An event favorite, Alicia Keiwitt enchanted
guests with her designs including floral rings, boutonnieres and wristlets. Guests were also invited to have laughable
portraits taken at a photo booth presented by Foto Pirates, all the while being serenaded with mixes my Cage + Aquarium.
After
all was said and done Syburg and Schertz were humbled by the success of their
first sponsored event. “We’re very proud
of how much we’ve learned and grown in this first year,” said Syburg.
The
Eventful Life’s mission is to help people throw the best party of their life
and the success of The Thawe is a great testament to their talent! What’s next for these two event enthusiasts? With warmer weather quickly approaching, these
ladies are looking forward to taking on wedding season in style, flower crowns
and all.
