Alright friend, we’re going to be direct today, no beating
around the bush, no poetic storytelling, no symbolism, double meanings, or innuendos.
Let us talk about changes, given that it is a new year. Everyone has to deal
with change, be it a new job, new friends or family, new scenery, new clothing,
style, well, you get the picture. Our environments transform and we adapt to
them, it is what makes us grow as a person.

They say that change is the only constant in life and often times that feels like the truth. Think for a few seconds…. What are the core components of your life? What defines you as an individual? Your job? Friends? Family? Location? Whether we want to admit to it or not, all of these areas of our lives will experience some sort of change, be them positive or negatives. It is how you deal with those changes that define you as a person. We are all a different person from who we were a year ago, and that is due to our ability to adapt to a barrage of new situations.

And as I sit here, writing this, I think about the ways I have changed and the ways I want to change. The idea is inspiring in a way. Thinking about where I would like to be someday, unsure of what the future holds; we hope for the best and prepare for the worst. When it boils down to it, life happens. There are events that go unaccounted for despite our best efforts and greatest foresight, but again, we change, we adapt, we survive and we persevere. That and that alone is what makes each and every one of us great.
