Halfstack has worked with many artist to ensure their voice is being heard. We recently receive a email from a friend and local artist Ajo, who is looking to expand her horizons on new stages. The email went like this:
"What's up, Half Stack Fam!! It's Ajo here from the inaugural issue of Half Stack mag :)
I really appreciate the feature and you guys taking an interest in my music, so I want to let you know what I'm up to now:
I'm attempting to make my way to the Afro-Punk
stage!! Afro-Punk is a 2-day NY music fest that celebrates alternative
music by black artists. To get there, I'll need to be in the top 16 for
their Battle of the Bands which is done by online voting.
